William Henry "Junebug" Washington, Jr., 50, of Macon, NC died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Junie was born in Fredricksburg, VA, the son of William Henry Washington, Sr. and Zollie Gochenour Miller.

He is survived by his mother, Zollie Miller of Macon, NC and her companion, Alfred Behrendt; his father, William Henry Washington, Sr. and his wife, Judy; four sisters, Lorene Clark, of Wingina, VA, Pamela Painter of Macon, NC, Lucille Huffman of Centerville, VA, and Kathy Washington of Fredricksburg; one brother, Raymond Washington of Fredricksburg; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, including a niece, Samantha Matthews and her husband, Daniel, of Macon, NC.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Michael Jones officiating.
